Traditional celebrations in Zagori were the most important events of social life. They survive until today, keeping quite pure characteristics of the past regarding songs, dances and customs, despite the alteration of their original character.
They are still organized on specific dates, on feasts of patron saints, churches and monasteries of the village, giving the opportunity to the villagers to attend the largest social-cultural event of the year. They usually take place in the central square of the village, mesohori, with the participation of different age groups.
In Aristi, traditional festivals take place during the Annual Zoodochos Pigi celebration, the Friday after the Easter and on summer during Agios Ioannis celebration, on August 29.
